Crispy Garlic Butter Crab Bombs
Crispy Garlic Butter Crab Bombs
Ingredients
450 g crab meat, picked clean
120 g cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded mozzarella
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup flour
2 eggs, beaten
1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
Oil, for frying
Garlic Butter
* 4 tbsp butter
* 2 garlic cloves, minced
* 1 tbsp chopped parsley
* Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, green onions, garlic, Old Bay, paprika, black pepper, and lemon juice.
2. Shape the mixture into small round balls. Put them in the fridge for 20 minutes so they firm up.
3. Coat each crab ball in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and roll in panko breadcrumbs. For an extra crispy crust, repeat the egg and panko coating once more.
4. Heat oil to medium heat. Fry the crab bombs for 3–4 minutes, turning gently, until deeply golden and crispy. Drain on paper towel.
5. Melt butter in a small pan. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, then stir in parsley and salt.
6. Brush or drizzle the warm garlic butter over the crispy crab bombs. Serve immediately with lemon wedges or a creamy dipping sauce.
